A termite inspection is a visual inspection of all accessible areas of a home for evidence of wood-destroying insects (WDI) and wood-destroying organisms (WDO). The inspector will visually inspect the interior of a home (including accessing and entering any scuttle wholes or pull down attic access points where Drywood termites are prevalent) and exterior of the property. After the inspection has been performed, the findings are reported on WDO form.
Sometimes required by your lender, a Wood Destroying Organism (WDO) inspection is to check for evidence of activity (past or present) from termites, carpenter ants, fungus, and other wood damaging pests. This must be performed by a licensed pest control technician. We are licensed to perform the inspection, but do not provide treatments if evidence is found. Humberto Lastre, owner of Florida Inspections Unlimited, is a licensed WDO inspector in the state of Florida, license number #JE337392. Florida Inspections Unlimited offers WDO inspections through (Termite Depot) (1-844-55DEPOT)
